Prayer Request Day

Peeps, post your prayer requests. Let's spend time this weekend in prayer for our brothers and sisters.

Plus, keep up on getting yo five in during the weekend. I will glad to give 2 extra entries for those who read 5 verses on Saturday and Sunday. Just let me know what you read!! Plus, get your families involved, because that equals more chances for you to win!! Next Friday is the Drawing!!

Here are my two prayer requests:

1. Keep the people of the Burma area in your prayers. It breaks my heart the devastation there and how many people have died and now are homeless and without necessary items to live. Pray for a supernatural movement of God in that region. I keep praying that God would do a 'loaves and fishes' miracle there.

2. Pray for our church's Car and Bike Show tommorow. Pray that the rain will stay a way and that many would attend. All proceeds go to our Youth Ministry and will help many kids be able to attend our Mission Trip to New Orleans this year.

Thanks y'all for a blessed week of comments and inspiration. I look back and I am just amazed at our growth in Christ!!

Have a great weekend!

NChrist, Susan

Please pray for my BFF, Kellie. I think she is a little closer to knowing the Lord but still pretty far away from committing.

Also, I started praying for the future spouses of my girls. They may be born already, may not but I pray God would work in their parents' lives and that they would be surrounded with good caring men who will show them by example how to treat women.

I reread the last half of Proverbs 31 today. Something really, really hit home and I'm sure I will blog about it next week.

Prov 31:30 - "Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain, but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised."

I also love how verse 27 says "the bread of idleness she will not eat".

My amplified Bible includes gossip, self-pity and discontentment as examples of "breads of idleness".

Makes me think twice about a few things as far as my health journey goes!

Okay, so the blog just did a major stupid thing on my comment, and I am really trying to be slow to anger. Errr. Grrr. Okay, I am okay now. Anyways Michelle here is another verse that I read this week that I think you would like, Proverbs 15:26 'Pleasant words are pure.' Simple lil verse with lots of punch! Atleast that is what it has done in me. It has punched out talking quickly, and has made me think more about what I am saying.

Thanks for all your participation this week! I love getting to know you and everybody more! Have a great weekend and see you Sunday!

Psalm 45-49....These psalms are filled with praise. The psalmists could not praise enough and God never tires of hearing our sincere praise. Today I praise God for his work in the lives of Susan and Michelle. I have loved reading your comments over the last few days...two great women of God looking for ways to share Him with others. I, too, am concerned for the people of Southeast Asia....the death toll is staggering and the homeless and hungry need not only our prayers but our practical and financial support as well. May God use us to create a miracle. And I pray for Forest Park and its effort to reach out to the community around...may this be a weekend filled with the grace and favor of our Lord. It's so wonderful to hear that a young mother is already praying for her future son-in-laws....I join you, Chelle, in praying that God will begin now (if he hasn't already begun!) to raise up special Christian men who will be a blessing and a delight to your precious girls. My Prayer Request: that troubling events of the past will be discarded and that my trust in God will be completely restored.

Mom, as always how I love you and your support. Tell Dad I want him commenting on here too. I would really like to hear from him. I will be praying for you and have been praying for you in that specific area. Forgiveness is key. Love you much and have a great weekend! Happy Mothers Day!!

I'll be honest, I've been slacking on my Bible reading. I could give excuses, but I won't. But as soon as I'm done here I am going to read more of James. Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day!

Psalm 50-51 David's plea is my plea: Ps 51:10-13 "Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit in me. Do not cast me away from Your Presence and do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways and sinners will be converted to You."

Psalms 52-54. Ps 54:4 says, You(God) are the sustainer of my soul. That phrase reminds me of one of my favorite Praise songs that came out several years ago. You don't hear it much these days but I have loved it because it describes the wonderful qualities of our Lord. The song is called Sustainer: "Sustainer, Comforter, Consuming Flame; Companion, Redeemer, Above Every Name. Hope for Tomorrow, Joy of Today; Father, my Daddy, Master and The Way."

Margaret S.,
I have been trying to find the song Sustainer online for a long time. Your post is the only thing that has come up. I know the song in my head and it has stuck with me for years but I would love to hear it. Do you know where I could find the song?
Thank you
